It is desirable to use the cold water as the warm water provokes an itch. An oil from the tea tree can be also used for cleaning the damaged area. It will help to reduce an itch.

  • If the itch is unbearable you can take the anti-histamine. The anti-histamine will help with itch reduction.

  • If you notice such symptoms as a headache, fever, body pain, sickness and rash, all of them can be the symptoms of rat typhus. It is very important, that you should consult the doctor if you have these symptoms. In case the symptoms worsen, the hospitalization would be necessary.
